Megasaray Mount Erciyes Hotel Mini Club / 23'
Hotel - Kayseri Erciyes
&nbsWe had the opportunity to collaborate on numerous projects with Megasaray Group, one of Turkey’s leading hotel chains. One of these projects was the Mount Erciyes Ski Hotel, located in Kayseri, Erciyes.
As with our other designs, this Mini/Midi Club was created with a biophilic approach.
Biophilic design is an architectural and interior design philosophy that integrates natural elements and nature-inspired forms to strengthen the connection with nature. This approach aims to enhance people's innate bond with the natural world. By incorporating plants, natural light, and organic materials, biophilic design promotes tranquility, health, and well-being in living spaces. While encouraging sustainability, it also offers psychological and physiological benefits, creating nature-harmonious environments that help reduce stress levels and improve overall quality of life.
In our designed space, we embraced the biophilic design approach and integrated it into the environment through nature-inspired material selections, high ceilings, architectural elements that enhance natural light, and ventilation systems. Our goal was to create a play area in harmony with nature, where children could feel comfortable both physically and mentally.
The entrance area of the Mini Club was designed with soft forms, energetic colors, and playful transition areas that appeal to children's imagination. Even before stepping inside, we wanted them to feel the warm and inviting atmosphere, using pastel tones and dynamic patterns.
To stimulate children's sense of exploration, we conceptualized the entrance door as a gateway to a magical world. The uniquely shaped door, evoking a fairy-tale passage, invites children into an environment that nurtures their imagination. Our aim was to make them feel as if they were stepping into a hidden garden or a fantastical universe.
The Mini Club, designed to appeal to children of all ages, is divided into mini, midi, and baby sections, each catering to different age groups. This ensures that every child can engage in activities and games suitable for their age, enhancing their social interaction in the best possible way.
In our design, we created dedicated spaces for painting, crafts, and artistic activities, allowing children to explore their creativity and develop their fine motor skills. These areas are equipped with age-appropriate ergonomic furniture and materials, ensuring that children can spend their time comfortably and enjoyably.
Wall games, pretend play areas, role-playing stations, and interactive discovery corners were also integrated into our design to capture children's interest and facilitate learning through play. This allows each child to engage in an activity suited to their age and interests, providing opportunities to enhance their imagination and problem-solving skills. Every corner of the Mini Club has been meticulously designed to ensure a safe, fun, and developmentally enriching experience for children.
In the Mini Club design, triangular geometries, representing the most playful interpretation of mountain forms, were used to create a dynamic atmosphere on the walls. These shapes were designed to establish a fun and inviting space, ensuring that children's ski vacations become unforgettable memories.
In the TV/Cartoon area, a mountain village theme, crafted with wooden CNC-cut panels and enhanced with custom prints, came to life with visuals that enrich children's imaginations. These design elements strengthen the emotional bond children form with the space, providing them with an environment that is both entertaining and soothing.
The custom-designed seating area in the TV zone was planned to encourage children to spend time together. The gradient of pastel tones, flowing from the walls to the floor, creates a seamless rainbow effect, adding warmth and a welcoming atmosphere to the interior.
The WC doors in the Mini Club were designed with children’s safety as the top priority. The doors were manufactured with mechanisms that prevent injuries during opening and closing. Additionally, a security level was established to ensure the space remains visually accessible at all times, allowing children to enjoy their time in a safe and comfortable environment.
The restrooms were designed ergonomically, catering to different age groups. Forms and guiding elements were carefully planned to ensure even the youngest children could use them with ease, providing a space that is both functional and fun.
As Passione Interior Design, designing a space for little ones was an exciting and nostalgic journey for us, reminding us of our own childhood. Creating an environment that nurtures their imagination was not only a joyful experience but also a great source of inspiration.
