M.D. House İçkale Kandilli / 22'
Residential - Istanbul, Kandilli
A residential project designed for an energetic, intellectual, and art-loving family. While designing this space, our client’s expectation was a simple, minimal design enriched with decor and artworks.
We designed the main functional elements of the living area with this understanding in mind. Each piece, modest on its own, was chosen with a focus on comfort and functionality.
The TV area doubles as a bookshelf when not in use and offers a viewing experience with a projection screen. The dining area, designed for large gatherings, includes a bar with a mobile design that functions as a server during meals.
The selected artworks, with their patterns and textures, not only provide visual pleasure but also add dynamism to the space and integrate seamlessly with complementary elements in the design.
The existing kitchen was maintained, with changes made only to the cabinet doors and the countertop. Natural tones were used for the selected doors and handles.
These natural tones were chosen to create an organic and calming experience for spending time in the space.
Different lighting options were designed to provide ease of work when needed and to support a dim ambiance when desired.
The bedroom was designed with the same concepts, using warm, natural, and soothing tones. The patterns and artworks used represent a calm flow. The bookshelves and reading areas, found throughout the space, were positioned near windows to receive side lighting and were complemented by reading lamps for darker hours.
The fabric upholstery used on the headboard provides a soft experience while contributing to the room's acoustic value. The lighting on both sides of the bed offers low-angle light options, integrated into the room to support sleep quality.
The dressing room was designed as an open partition within the bedroom. Glass was used on the wardrobe surfaces designed for accessories, providing easy visibility and selection.
Spotlights in the dressing room allow users to observe the effect of artificial lighting on their clothes, making it easier to create suitable combinations.
The terrace, designed as a space for both socializing and personal time, accommodates various activities within a compact area. You can warm up by the fireplace, read a book, host movie or game nights, and more.
Comfort is prioritized for all these activities, so seating elements were selected with comfort filters in mind.
Eclectic patterns and color combinations emphasize energy in the space.
A bar, positioned to serve both the indoor and outdoor terrace, includes a built-in refrigerator and alcohol shelves to enhance functionality.
The outdoor terrace, like the indoor terrace, was created as a space for both socializing and personal time. By using separators, this dual-purpose feature was preserved, while mobile umbrellas were incorporated to provide sun protection.
A fire pit enhances temperature control and adds visual appeal. For dining events, the space includes a barbecue area, stainless steel countertop, and storage cabinet, offering the necessary capacity for preparation and storage.
In this residential project, we provided our client with services including 2D planning, concept design, 3D visualization, implementation projects, construction consultancy, and furniture production/installation. We proudly present this to you for your appreciation.
